| Hey guys, commission requests are officially OPEN! Bear in mind that I already have a queue in place. I will as always do my best to work with your timeline, but please plan ahead and give yourself some cushion time before the date you need your piece. Queries are welcome, and quoting is free. Drop me a line and let's get started making your ideas come to life! |

![]() Greetings all -- Neon Skies Studio took on some flood water during Hurricane Harvey and 20-30 pieces were lost along with all the mats, frames and a variety of other materials. As a result we are having a SALE -- use coupon code HOUSTONSTRONG in my Etsy store to receive 30% off! Purchases will help pay for drywall/flooring replacement, new materials etc. and once those costs are met I will be donating excess to Americares to help with refugee health needs. ***PLEASE NOTE: USPS has ceased mail service with the exception of checks and medications, until further notice. All items purchased will be packaged and shipped once service resumes.*** The Etsy store is temporarily closed due to Hurricane Harvey, but will reopen with a special FLOOD SALE just as soon as I've adjusted listings! Prints, comics, canvas work all okay; happy to say many watercolors survived although they had to be cut away from their matting/framing. Stay tuned for the official announcement!
![]() At long last I have finished posting artwork for sale on Etsy! For a LIMITED TIME ONLY there is a special grand opening sale -- 25% off using code HAPPYBIRTHDAY! Go take a look at etsy.com/shop/NeonSkiesStudio! ***SPECIAL NOTE*** If you are LOCAL (Houston area) and are interested in a piece, please email me at orders (at) neonskiesstudio.com with your inquiry. If you have a link for the listing or the description that would be most helpful. LOCAL patrons may arrange payment and pickup/delivery separate from Etsy. Thanks! ![]() In order to clear out some space in the studio for new work, I'm excited to announce that I'll be setting up a store on Etsy and having a sale on prints, comics and original paintings! Exact release to be determined, but the store is already in process. The new pieces that are cropping up currently and labeled as commissioned art were requested before I announced a hiatus, and I'd agreed to do take these projects with the caveat that I would work on them when I had the time. The lovely patrons of these pieces were enthusiastic about my work and not in a rush and agreed to those terms. Commissions will remain closed at present, though inquiries are always welcome. Stay tuned for more details about the new store and coming sale! ![]() The holidays are coming, which means it's the perfect time to contact me about a special gift for yourself or a loved one! I have limited slots available for new commission work, so please act soon if you are interested. I do have some original pieces and prints on hand as well, if you like what you see on the site. PLEASE NOTE however that as of the start of 2017 I will be taking a temporary hiatus from accepting commissions in order to work on personal projects which have been patiently waiting for my return -- that's right, I'm referring to C'est La Mort, Aplasia and Huntress Hood! I also have ideas for a new series of paintings that I have been itching to create, but for which I have not had time. Rest assured that this break will only serve to benefit future work when I reopen commissions, as my creative drive will be replenished and ready. Look forward to what's next, and keep your eyes on the Skies! ![]() Lostwood Games is releasing the sequel to Leviathan: The Last Day of the Decade on Thursday, July 7th! I interviewed the studio on Duckfeed.tv's The Level podcast - Bonus Level 15 and this time around worked on localization editing for the script of The Cargo. I can tell you, it's good stuff! The studio is doing a release Q&A livestream event at 22:00 PDT on July 7th here. If I'm able to join I will, but if so it will be a surprise to everyone. :) The game already has a Steam page where you can wishlist it until release! Check it out! If you enjoy video games, you may want to check out the new game To Ash - it features an interesting disempowerment mechanic which teaches acceptance of decline and death, is the brainchild of a behavioral therapist, and I am the person generating artwork for it. My fellow podcast hosts interviewed the creator, Kyle Ballentine, during The Level Episode 129: 2 Ash 2 Furious.
Below are the main characters from the game. You can read more about it here, or vote for it on Steam Greenlight to see it available on that widely-used platform. ![]() My artwork became an NPC in the game Endica VII The Dream King which is now available on Steam. Here's a side-by-side view of my original art piece, and Jala-character from Endica as re-rendered by creator Nick Ridgway. She makes appearances in three separate areas, and has three art-related comments selected by yours truly to share with you. Pretty neat, huh? The original artwork was created in 2012 and can be viewed in full on the Digital Gallery page. Game on! ![]() It's the beginning of the crazy dash to the holidays! Here around Neon Skies, I've been busy working on commissions for a passel of sweet collectors. Searching for the perfect gift? Why not try art! If you don't see something that strikes your fancy around the gallery and store here on site, consider the Commissions page under the Contact tab! Pricing will vary according to complexity of the subject matter, medium, deadline etc. so do check with me - quotes are always free and non-binding. :) My current commission lineup may delay the creation of your unique vision, so be sure to get in touch early and I'll do my best to get your piece to you in time for the holidays! |
